Come on down to Glencoe Museum in Radford Va for the 20th Anniversary celebration! Here is a list of what is going on and one of my paintings will be in an exhibit of local scenes!
The celebration will include the opening of a new gallery and history exhibits that delve into Radford’s story. There will be refreshments and activities for all ages including living history interpreters, children’s activities and historical presentations.
Among the presenters will be Robert C. Whisonant; Paul Quigley, Director of Virginia Tech’s Center for Civil War Studies; and history professors Dan Thorp and Mary Ferrari.
The culmination of the event will be a special presentation by acclaimed Civil War Historian William C. Davis who will present, “Love Among the Ruins,” a talk based on his upcoming publication of the over 500 Wharton Civil War letters.
