Artist's Description
Water Wings is a sensuous evening look at some mallards on a peaceful lake. I especially like the dreamy quality of the clouds in this painting. This is a scene that invites the viewer to stare and be at peace.
I married The Bird Man, Clyde Kessler, and he has taught me a lot about birds and butterflies. His discovery of the endangered Mitchel Satyr in 1998 is considered to be one of the most important wildlife finds in the second half of the twentieth century in Virginia.
