Ghost Tears is another one of my Suggestions paintings. In these paintings I am starting off with an abstract expressionist approach and then I look for forms to bring out of the paint. This time a vague face seemed to appear behind drops so I made the face a little stronger and defined the drops which could be raindrops or tears. I am very pleased with the mood in this one.
My paintings have been seen throughout the United States in national, international, and group shows. I have won numerous awards, including awards from Dorothy Gillespie, May Stevens, Frank Webb, and Daniel Greene. My paintings were in two group shows on Broadway and my biography is included in The Original Marquis Who's Who in America.
I taught in the Art Department of Radford University for a twenty years as Assistant professor. I taught Art Appreciation, Drawing, Oil Painting, Watercolor painting, Foundations, and served as Gallery Director for one year.
