Becky and Ron Yearout is one of my commissioned portraits. I have had a 100% success rate for my commission work and would like to do more. Becky has since told me her cat sits and stares at this work. I like to do portraits and I have a system that works well for local patrons as well as internet patrons. I start with a one color under painting from a photograph and check with the patron regarding the likeness. Then I apply most of the layers and check again before the work is done to see if there are any other concerns. I prefer to do expressive portraits like the one I did of internationally acclaimed violinist, David Garrett, but I am open to the patron's choice of style.
My paintings have been seen throughout the United States in national, international, and group shows. I have won numerous awards, including awards from Dorothy Gillespie, May Stevens, Frank Webb, and Daniel Greene.
