Artist's Description
Creek Bridge is a serene, colorful look at a hand made bridge over a beautiful creek setting. The bridge draws the viewer into a lovely wooded part of Southwest Virginia. These types of scenes take me back to my childhood. I spent a lot of time around creeks. I was fascinated with the rocks, vegetation, and animals that lived there. I think kids that are spending a lot of time on electronic equipment would benefit from nature outings. My husband is part of the Blue Ridge Discovery Group which aims to re-connect children and adult with the wonders of nature.
The painting is in a frame that has a matted area that beautifully offsets the painting.
