Love and Mercy

February 12th, 2024

Love and Mercy

Yesterday I watched a movie about The Beach Boys and was shocked to see how a medical professional took over Brian Wilson's life when he was middle aged.

He was rescued but the story is amazing and it was completely accurate.

The film makers did not add anything for dramatic effect.

Wow! If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. The title is Love and Mercy which is also one of the Beach Boys songs.

Rainy Days and Mondays don't get me down...

Rainy Days and Mondays don

Yes, I know this is Sunday but I can't help thinking of that famous Carpenters song with all the rain making puddles on my patio.

I have never been bothered by rain. I like to watch it and the mists are beautiful.

Have a nice day!

Great reduction in cussing...

Years ago when I first started Yoga classes I watched the clock just hoping it would end soon.

As I have said many times I love what Yoga does for my body but I hate doing it.

I have also mentioned that I make sure the teacher has muted us so I can cuss a little.

Well, I have become so flexible and strong that I hardly gripe at all.

Yes! Class is in an hour and I won't be watching the clock.

Can't think.

Dishes in the sink.

Cheers on a busy Friday!

Can't Complain but I do...

Sometimes paintings don't work out. All painters know this.

I have been at this for such a long time that a failure rarely happens but sometimes I have to say one just isn't working out.

What a lot of people don't know is unless the paint is very thick the painter can just paint over it.

I am pleased to say that I got two really nice ones from two recent failures.

I always complain about the failures but can't complain about the ones that resulted from the two I painted over.

I have sold paintings that have failures underneath. The patron bought two paintings but didn't know it.

They sense fear...

They sense fear...

Some of the jokes on Facebook are so good I like to share them here.

Never wait until the last minute to print off an important document that you need right away.

Printers sense fear and break down.

Isn't that the truth? LOL!

I miss the Zero choice

I miss the Zero choice

All those phone numbers that have a very confusing list of choices that go on for minutes have wised up.

Often times after listening to all the choices I still can't find the one that will help me and I just get a good bye.

It used to be you could hit the zero and someone would help you. They have deleted that choice so now it is much harder to get to a human representative.

I miss that option.

Walking Whales

Walking Whales

I love to learn and the program When Whales Could Walk is fascinating!

It will air again on Wednesday and I will watch it again.

According to fossil research millions of years ago whales had legs and spent a lot of time hunting for food in the water.

They weren't huge then. Eventually they lost their legs and had to stay in the water which is why there are mammals in the ocean.

Great program! Check it out on PBS or on Youtube!

Every adult knows that saying

Every adult knows that saying

The two sure things in life are death and taxes.

I still think I have a ways to go until the death thing but right now I am under a mountain of paperwork for the tax thing.

Hope to get it all together for the tax preparer soon. I always have help so I don't make a bad mistake.

Cheers on a paperwork day!

Like Mother like Daughter...

Like Mother like Daughter...

My mother was an excellent pianist and she had a nice upright that replaced the baby grand she did not like.

She also bought a digital piano which was fun to play. Well, I have the great upright she bought shortly after she married Dad and now I want to get a digital one for our guest room.

I have a bad habit of buying things in haste and repenting at leisure so I am going to carefully research digital pianos before I buy one.

Looking forward to another piano!
