Reminds me of Peanuts

April 9th, 2024

Reminds me of Peanuts

I am a big fan of Peanuts by Charles Schultz and have a lot of books with his comics.

Yesterday I was reminded of the time Snoopy asked his bird friend Woodstock why birds that are confronted by a car scatter instead of flying. Woodstock's reply was he didn't know.

Yesterday some birds were scooting across our big patio in some sort of panic. Why didn't they fly?

Who knows.

Great response to a troll

Great response to a troll

Yesterday I listened to a video about artists and social media.

They were talking about trolls and how it is not helpful to respond to them but one lady had such a great retort that she would have liked to use.

A guy said it was about time she realized that she did not have any artistic talent. Her retort was, "Isn't it about time you realize your mother should throw you out of her basement?"

I'll bet it took a huge amount of restraint to keep from posting that one! LOL!

Those windows aren't going to clean themselves

April 7th, 2024

Those windows aren

We have a lot of dirty windows right now.

They don't look that bad except when the light hits them in a certain way. Then they look pretty bad so I better get out there.

Hate cleaning windows.

Leave me home

Leave me home

The other day I had a lot of chores to do and I was trying to find the best route to avoid bad traffic and aggravation.

Clyde said, "Leave me home?"

Well, that won't do anything about the traffic but, aggravation? Hmm. Maybe. LOL!

188

188

Last night Alan scored a 155 on the first game and a 188 on the second game.

He was smashing those pins! In the second game he got a four bagger!

Always great to watch him bowl.

He had the highest scores in both games for both teams.

It has come to this

It has come to this

More and more I wish I had gotten a degree in Computer Science.

Even though my husband had a job working on a computer we still need help sometimes and we have to pay a yearly fee to get that help.

We get one free help session each year.

Wow! Sometimes we need to pay a plumber and now we have to pay to keep our computer going.

We received a notice of an update that nearly ruined our computer so we had to have it removed by the Help service. The expert had a hard time removing it.

Oh well. I am sure we are not the only ones that need computer help at times.

Stop that

Stop that

Lots of deer to shoo away before they eat everything.

Glad they don't eat daffodils but one of them decided to just stand there and give my husband a fierce, dirty look.

I guess that one considers our yard to be his and we are the trespassers.

Not taking that nonsense.

Shoo!

Dunking Donuts guys are back

Dunking Donuts guys are back

It has been such a long time since the crows were dunking bread in the bird bath that it was a surprise to see them back at it yesterday.

It is kind of fun watching them dunking bread and chewing the fat but the bird bath gets so messed up.

Oh well. We are the clean up crew.

Yuck.

Watch out for that tree

Watch out for that tree

Remember the George of the Jungle song?

George, George, George of the Jungle, friend of you and me. Watch out for that tree! Of course George clunks right into it.

Well, my poor husband was working on some flowers in the back yard and ran into a rhododendron branch.

Ouch! He had to lie down for a while with an injured eye. It is better now.

Whew!
