Sometimes they get covered up

Sometimes they get covered up

Although this rarely happens with me, yesterday I took some paint and went right through a painting I was working on.

It just was not working out and I may try a different approach.

One thing I have learned over the years is that painting really can drive you nuts if you let it. I don't let any of the problems get to me. Love it too much!

On to the next one.

We should have known that...

We should have known that...

We hate to use poisonous household chemicals but we have used them to clean out clogged up drains.

Clyde saw some plumbing devices anyone can use to snake out the drain.

Can't believe we did not know we could do that after all these years of calling plumbers.

Oh well. We know that now and it worked great!

A small ouch

A small ouch

Sometimes, for no reason that I can determine, I break a blood vessel in one of my fingers and get a small bruise.

This time the whole joint turned purple. Weird things happen as we age.

Oh well. That happened yesterday and it only hurts a little today.

Cheers on a very cold Friday!

Not an Idiot

Not an Idiot

Every day my husband travels to secluded sections of the city and beyond to study wildlife, especially birds.

I always worry about his safety. Yesterday I said watch out for idiots. He said he hopes he is the only idiot there.

LOL! He is not an idiot.

I can't believe I do that every day

I can

Years ago someone told me that if you do something for twenty-one days it becomes a habit.

Since we got a king sized bed I stopped making the bed up in the mornings. King size beds require a lot of walking back and forth so I just stopped.

Well, I ordered a beautiful magenta colored bed spread and I liked looking at it so much I started making the bed again.

It has been more than twenty-one days and sometimes I am so tired I tell myself to skip it. I never do.

That habit certainly has taken hold!

Maybe, Maybe Not

Maybe, Maybe Not

I have been painting a lot of landscapes lately, mostly mountain paintings, so I was thinking of painting some abstracts, music without words.

I started one yesterday, and as always, I started to see forms in the paint and will probably turn it into a landscape.

Will see! I love all levels of abstraction.

January 31 is not December 31

January 31 is not December 31

Sometimes I forget to hit the little arrow on Youtube when I am scheduling a short.

I was wondering why I didn't get any views. I selected January 31 by mistake.

I would say that was my first mistake of the New Year but I did it last night. Still, I am sure there will be mistakes in 2024. LOL!

Happy New Year!

I try not to do that

December 31st, 2023

I try not to do that

At the end of every year I always say I am not going to make New Years resolutions. That is a sure path to failure.

I am always trying to improve and I have improved in some ways so why make resolutions?

No matter how many times I say I am not going to make them I start thinking of things that would be great resolutions so I'll just keep them to myself and let it go at that.

Have a great 2024!

Oh no and Oh yes...

Oh no and Oh yes...

So pleased to sell another print of Claytor Lake Dock to a great Virginia patron!

Not pleased that my phone seems to have died.

I guess I need a new battery and I have no idea how to open it and replace the one in there.

Time to look it up online and if that doesn't work it is time to go to the store and get help.

He wouldn't do that

December 29th, 2023

He wouldn

Our trash pick-up is Tuesday. Since Christmas was Monday Clyde was not surprised that they didn't pick it up.

Well, they did not pick it up on Wednesday either and I did not see a Holiday trash pick-up day in the newspaper.

I asked Clyde what are we going to do?

He said he would just keep putting it out and if it was not picked up he would take it to the mayor's office. LOL!

He would never do that, especially since we know the mayor.
