Description

Rocky Knob Evening is one of many views of the ranges from Rocky Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway. My husband, Clyde Kessler, spends many hours here studying birds and butterflies. It is a prime spot for hawk watching in the Fall.

This painting was a small study for Rock Castle Gorge which I sold before I completed the large version. The paintings are quite different as I always start out with an interpretation based on the locale and then the painting starts telling me what to do.

Good art is a balance act between control and accident. I try to keep from falling off the beam.

I live to paint and it is important to me to find homes for all of my creations. I have originals and prints in twenty-four states, Canada, Germany, Russia, and Australia. I want to cover the world with my art!
