Last week I had a Kandinsky moment when I was working on an acrylic painting for one of my Youtubes. The colors that were bleeding into my paper towel were so beautiful and the textures to intricate I decided to paint on a paper towel. Kandinsky is a Russian artist that many credit with the foundation of Modern Art which is abstract or non-figurative. One day in his studio while he was working on a painting he looked over to another painting that was upside down and felt like he was really seeing it for the first time. Instead of looking like something, he was able to just see it as a grouping of colors and textures and lines.
Anyway, I am very pleased with the bleeding technique in this one and the beautiful patterns that were partially revealed as I painted!
