Artist's Description
Eagle Fire is an exceptionally expressive wildlife painting. My work is unique to me but there are strong Impressionistic and Expressionistic elements. My expressive side took over in this one as I achieved a coloristic effect that emphasizes the strength and majesty of the beautiful bald eagle. The brushwork is pure energy.
The painting is in a solid wood molded frame.
I married the Bird Man, Clyde Kessler, and I have learned a lot about wildlife from him. His discovery of the endangered Mitchel Satyr in 1998 is considered to be one of the most important wildlife finds of the second half of the twentieth century in Virginia.
