Clover Hollow in Giles County is an expressive look at a small section of this mountain farm. The brushwork is intense and the colors are cheerful. I have driven past this scene countless times and it always seems new to me.
The mountains of Southwest Virginia, which includes The Blue Ridge Mountains are magical. The colors and textures change dramatically all day long. I especially have enjoyed this section of Giles County in the evening when it is easier to see cool colors in shadows.
A Great patron in Ft. Lauderdale owns this paintings. The painting is in a solid wood auburn frame which beautifully offsets the piece. This is a low-level impasto painting and is colorful and peaceful.
