Soon I will be finished with the second stage of Pawleys Island Atmosphere which is pictured in the first video above. It is coming along and it doesn't seem to be such an arm wrestling event as usual. It is great to get better and better at a medium and not encounter so much frustration. Yes, it would be boring if there were no conflict but the ride to the end is not as bumpy as it used to be.
I used to destroy ones that just didn't work out. I don't do that anymore. Some are better than others but they all have merit and the benefit of many decades of working at my own style. I have accomplished a lot and my surfaces are complex and visually compelling.
Pat that back and get back in the studio! Love what I do but I don't do it for free. It is not easy. It is artWORK!

When I look at the stars, which I don't do often, I am astounded by the fact or theory that we are the only planet in the universe with life. As more and more planets are discovered that may not be true at all.
I asked Clyde if he thought there was intelligent life some where else. I got the usual curmudgeon response.
If there is, I hope they are smarter than us and don't tear up their planet to make life easier or fight others more effectively or whatever all the things we have invented are supposed to do.
My Dad was always so impressed with our technological advancements. He said that pollution and climate change could be looked at as the details that needed to be taken care of. I don't see anyone taking care of these details. I see people fighting tooth and nail to ignore these problems in the name of money.
Clyde is not the only one that gets on his high horse. Sometimes the crazy artist wants to chime in, too.
Clyde said another planet's pet rocks are probably laughing at us.
Ask a curmudgeon for an opinion and get a curmudgeon response.
