I am trying to tear myself away from my latest painting. It has worked out real well and now is the time to quit before I over work it but the changes I did today worked perfectly! One good think about impasto paintings is you get to the point where you either have to quit or get a spoon to add more paint.
I think one more day will do it and then I will get back to some Skyline Beauty paintings and maybe some Suggestions paintings and Center of My Mind paintings. Looking forward to not smelling mineral spirits for a while!

I learn a lot from Clyde. He is a walking encyclopedia. I hardly ever stump him. I did the other day. He was talking to me about a variety of tree that was outside our car window while we waited for Alan and his girlfriend. There were a lot of Dogwood trees next to the tree he was talking about. It occurred to me that Dogwood is a rather strange name so I asked him how it got it's name.
He didn't know so I decided that maybe it was named long, long ago right before people noticed that trees had bark just like dogs. I am surprised Clyde did not get out of the car and walk away.
That was a bad one! I guess I had better stick to the Wordman's humor.
