Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Clyde and I need to keep up with technological changes and we are reluctant to do so.  He hates using his phone and still uses a small notebook to record bird sightings. He just uploaded his 30, 000th siting to eBirds at Cornell!  What a dedicated naturalist and hater of computers and phones.  His two volume book on Entymology came with two second volumes and no first so I thought we would have to find the receipt and mail it back. 

Well, for his first time, he took a picture of a code on Amazon and just went to show UPS  the code and they pack and ship it back for free.  That certainly is a new experience for us!  I told Clyde we need to keep up. Not keeping up with technology is like one of our relatives whose spelling is so bad  spell check can't figure his words out.  He gave me a lecture on how ridiculous the rules are which is nothing new and certainly not a good reason to not learn to spell correctly.

Anyway, Clyde came back with the book because our mailing service that has many carriers including UPS is not an official UPS store so they can't use the computer code to help us out.  Clyde will have to travel for thirty minutes to an actual UPS store. 

Now that's a Christmas and Computer Ho Ho Ho!  Argh!
