So pleased to sell another print of my most popular photograph Rosy Evening at Isle of Palms to a great Iowa patron!  I live to paint but I do have some photographs that I am proud of so I have included them in collections on my website.  I have included a link to a face mask of this photograph which I think would look great!

I am very excited to be working on a large painting that incorporates architecture!  I have always been fascinated by architecture and took many courses while obtaining my MFA degree.  One of my most popular architecture paintings is Rehoboth Beach Houses which is also one of my favorite paintings. 

Now I am working on a painting with the Peaks of Otter Lodge that includes the lake and surrounding trees in the Fall.   I am trying something a little different in my technical approach and keeping the second layer almost as thin as the first.

I think I can achieve more expression and color nuance with the large areas more modeled out in the beginning of the work. Anyway, it is always an exciting, sometimes exasperating experience and I am looking forward to the third layer where the arm wrestling will probably begin.
