I am back to the figure which is a particular love for artists.  We don't draw and paint nudes to be provocative.  We just love the beauty of the human form and all the expressions that different poses give us.  I am working on an expressive painting of a woman's back as she is turning slightly to her right.  There will be many layers as I build up the form and add colorful brushwork.  I was pleased with the first stage so I added it to my portfolio for prints. Here it is!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

I am still going to Yoga twice a week and I have a short practice at home the days I don't have Yoga.  Yoga does fantastic things for the body and I still hate it.  I want Clyde to take it when his schedule allows him to so I should keep my mouth shut about how I hate it. 

Anyway, yesterday I told him one of the teacher always suggests some alternative moves to the ones she is demonstrating and she says whatever feels good. Well, there are stairs over there and the front door at the end of them.  I think it would feel real good to walk down those stairs and go right out that door.  Of course, I keep my mouth shut in class.  I just keep forgetting to keep my mouth shut at home.

Don't misunderstand.  Yoga is a great way to keep the body going and I will keep at it.  I don't have to like it.
