Artist's Description
Mostly Tulips is an exceptionally lyrical floral that I am extremely pleased with. The vibrant colors and the flowing motion are especially strong in this work. I am drawn to red/green combinations in art. I love all colors but I especially like these two complimentary colors.
At a competition May Stevens called me the Red/Green painter when we were introduced. I received a Purchase Award for my entry.
The surface is a subtle impasto and the painting is un-framed. This is a low-level impasto painting and is colorful and peaceful. The painting is on stretched canvas.
